Il grano Perciasacchi o Stravisazz, deve il suo nome alla forma grossa e appuntita del chicco, che buca i sacchi (dal dialetto percia sacchi) – Perciasacchi wheat or Stravisazz owes its name to the large and pointed shape of the grain, which pierces the sacks (from the dialect percia sacchi).
Il Perciasacchi è uno dei tanti grani antichi duri siciliani, che ancora conserva le caratteristiche originali dei cereali coltivati nei millenni e non geneticamente modificati – Perciasacchi is one of the many ancient Sicilian durum grains, which still preserves the original characteristics of cereals grown over the millennia and not genetically modified.
